AVAILABILITY
Bookings are now open for the 2025/2026 and 2026/2027 ski seasons.
With only 10 rooms and a maximum capacity of 20 guests, availability is limited. Whole lodge reservations are available for private groups.
RATES
Room rates are based on double occupancy
Room with private toilet: ¥60,000/night + tax
Room with ensuite: ¥65,000/night + tax
INCLUSIONS
Your stay at The Residence Myoko includes:
Daily breakfast and après ski snacks
Private shuttle pick-up and drop-off from Myoko Kogen Station
Evening shuttle service into Akakura Onsen town (hourly from 6pm, last pick-up 10pm)
Use of onsite onsens and sauna (private bookings for both are possible)
In-house dinner, available twice weekly (reservations required 24 hours in advance)
PAYMENTS & CANCELLATIONS
A 25% deposit is required within 7 days of booking. This deposit is non-refundable.
Final balance is due 60 days prior to arrival.
Cancellations made 60 days prior to arrival forfeit the 25% deposit. Cancellations made after 60 days are subject to full payment. Bookings can be transferred to alternate dates.
Reservations are managed by Japan Snow Riders.
CHECK IN & CHECK OUT
Check in is from 3pm to 6pm on the day of arrival.
Check out is 10am on the day of departure.
Due to national park and Akakura Onsen Ski Resort regulations, access to the lodge is limited during ski resort operating hours. Please keep the checkin/checkout times in mind and plan your arrival and departure accordingly.
EARLY CHECKIN
Early check in is only possible with a reservation for the night before. In this case, earliest pick up time from Myoko Kogen Station is 9am and final pick up is 10am due to regulations mentioned above.
TRANSFERS & SHUTTLES
Transfers to and from Myoko Kogen station are included and must be pre-arranged with Japan Snow Riders.
Shuttles into Akakura town run each evening on the hour from 6pm. Last pick up from Akakura town is 10pm.
Walking into town is possible and will take approximately 10–15 minutes depending on your destination and snow conditions.
PARKING
There is no parking at The Residence Myoko. Guests arriving by car may use the public car park behind Akakura Post Office and opposite the ski resort ticket office (¥1,000/night). A shuttle transfer will be arranged to bring you to the lodge.
GUEST RESPONSIBILITIES
When staying at The Residence Myoko, you are within one of Japan’s national parks. We kindly ask that all guests:
Respect the natural surroundings. Fireworks are strictly prohibited.
Respect local culture and traditions both in the lodge and in Akakura town.
Keep noise to a minimum after 10pm.
Refrain from rowdy or disruptive behaviour.
SMOKING
This Residence is a non-smoking lodge. Smoking including e-cigarettes is not allowed in any of the rooms or inside the lodge. There is a dedicated smoking area outside the ski room on the ground floor.
SNOW CONDITIONS & RESORT OPERATIONS
As The Residence Myoko is located within a ski resort area, weather conditions and resort operations are beyond our control. Refunds will not be issued due to lift closures, snow conditions, or other circumstances outside our responsibility.
